Your audio stays on your device

Conversion is performed entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. The file you select is read into memory on your own machine, processed there, and the resulting MIDI file is generated in the browser as well. Your audio file is never uploaded to this site or to any third party.

We do not collect personal information

There is no account, no sign-up, no email collection and no contact form on this site. You do not have to identify yourself to use the converter.

Advertising

TuneToMIDI is free to use and is supported by advertising. The ads you see on these pages are delivered by third-party advertising networks, not by us. Those networks may collect and use information about your visits to this and other sites in order to show you ads they think are relevant, and to measure how their ads perform. They may do this with cookies or similar technologies.

One thing advertising networks never receive is your audio. Conversion happens on your own device, so there is no recording for an ad network to be handed.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own, and we store nothing in your browser's local storage. Third parties that appear on these pages — the advertising networks described above, and the measurement script described below — may set cookies or use similar technologies when they serve their content. We do not control those.

Measurement

Our host, Cloudflare, adds its own measurement script (cloudflareinsights.com) to these pages. It reports aggregate traffic statistics such as page views and load times. We have not installed any analytics product of our own, and no other tracking script is loaded here.

Server logs

The site is served as static files through Cloudflare. Like virtually every website operator, Cloudflare may record standard technical request information (such as IP address and user agent) for security and reliability. This is not linked to your audio files, because your audio files are never sent to the server.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
